The OK Fine Band began in a Villanova University dorm room in the Fall of 1978 when John Blake introduced himself and his 12-String Alvarez guitar to Nick Setteducato and his 6-String Guild. Their first recording of the song “Lately” was done with two mics, a Shure Vocal Master and an Akai reel to reel recorder. On and off for over 40 years Nick and John have played music together and performed in clubs near Hazlet, NJ and Archbald, PA -- the original hometowns of this duo. In 2017 they performed together at Mastry's Brewing Co. in St. Petersburg, Florida and at the Marilake Winery in Childs, Pennsylvania. Between August of 2016 and January of 2017, John and Nick recorded this album of original music at Twenty-Five-Eight Studios in Scranton, PA -- aided by producer and musician extraordinaire Jimmy Reynolds (pictured above with Nick and John) -- and supported by the great musical talents of Light Weight, a wonderful cover band from Northeast PA (See: lightweightband.com). The OK Fine Band "Lately" is an album 40 years in the making. For over 10 years John served as a PA State Senator for the 22nd Senatorial District of Pennsylvania and he also worked for former U.S. Congressman Matt Cartwright, PA-08. John is now retired. After many years in the financial services industry, Nick served as the Regional Vice Chancellor for the St. Petersburg campus of the University of South Florida. Nick is also retired. John is OK. Nick and John completed their 2nd album in October, 2020. The OK Fine Band "All at Once" is the 2nd studio album produced by Jimmy Reynolds at Twenty-Five Eight Studios, Scranton, PA. Once again Nick and John were aided by the great musical talents of Light Weight, Northeastern Pennsylvania's premier cover band. This 'sophmore' effort by the OK Fine Band includes nine new tracks of original music by Nick and John. The recording of this 2nd album was completed on 9-14-19 (a palindrome), prior to the start of the tragic, Covid 19 global pandemic. The 2020 lock-down delayed final mixing and mastering of the tracks but Jimmy Reynolds was able to complete production and, once again, with the assistance of Disc Makers, a small New Jersey-based company, artwork for the album was completed and CDs were pressed. Nick and John performed at the RiverView Winery in Jermyn, PA in October, 2021 and they also had a rendezvous in Orlando, Florida in February, 2022 for the wedding of Nick's son Michael.
Once again, John is OK and Nick is fine. We hope you enjoy this 2nd album by the OK Fine Band.

In the summer of 2024 Nick and John once again entered Twenty-Five Eight Studios in Scranton, PA and joined their producer Jimmy Reynolds in taking up yet another album by the OK Fine Band.
Initially unsure of the original music intended for this, their 3rd album, it soon became clear
that Nick and John had plenty of original music to record. As of this writing, at March 5th, 2025, at least 17 new, original tracks are in production. Nick and John have, once again, been assisted by over 8 other talented musicians in the recording studio. The 3rd OK Fine Band release, to be entitled "New Beginning", is expected to be completed before the end of 2025. Return to this site later this year as the music from their 3rd album will be posted here for your listening pleasure.
